Centrepoint, the UK’s leading youth homelessness charity, has an amazing opportunity for a HCPC Registered Clinical/Forensic Psychologist to join us in the expanding Centrepoint PIE Team to support the delivery of a Psychologically Informed Environment (PIE) within our newly commissioned Alternative to Custody Service. PIE is a strategic priority for Centrepoint following PIE developments across the wider homeless sector and reflects the charity’s commitment to psychological practice across the organization to improve our outcomes for our staff and the young people that use our services.
You will be approximately two years post qualification, preferably with some experience of working with ‘complex’ needs such as mental health/offending behaviours, and you will have an interest in working with young people who have experienced homelessness and forensic histories to #changethestory. This regional role will support the delivery of PIE across the charity, within the specific service in North London. If you more newly qualified, please contact the Head of PIE to discuss, as your application may still be considered based on your unique skills and experience.
The role will involve extensive staff consultation, training and reflective practice within the new Centrepoint Service, as well as supporting research and policy development across the organisation. There will also be opportunities to deliver psychological/therapeutic interventions (both individual and group based) focusing on mental health and offending behaviours as well as undertake neuropsychological assessments to young people (aged 16-25 years) within the service.
You will have a great opportunity to shape your regional role as this new service develops, in conjunction with the wider PIE Team, as Centrepoint continues on its exciting PIE journey. You will love your career in Centrepoint, where each member of the team works towards our unique approach to helping young people with ‘a job and a home’ and our strategic priority to #EndYouthHomelessness by 2037.
